🎶Footprints in the sand

He held me in His hands

He gave me strength

to face the coming day

At times I felt alone

I was never on my own

Someday I’ll understand

Footprints in the sand🎵

[Spoken]

‘Last night I had a dream

I dreamed that I was walking

Along the beach with the Lord

And across the sky

flashed scenes from my life

And for each scene I noticed two sets

of footprints in the sand

One belong to me

and the other to the Lord

And after the last scene of my life

flashed before me

I looked back at the

footprints in the sand

And I noticed

that many times along

the path of my life

Especially at the very

lowest and saddest times

There was only one set of footprints’

🎶Footprints in the sand

He help me in His hands

Someday I’ll understand

Footprints in the sand

Ooh oo🎵

[Spoken]

‘Now this really troubled me

So I asked the Lord about it

‘Lord, You said once

I decided to follow You

You’d walk with me all the way

But I noticed that during the saddest

and lowest times of my life

There was only one set of footprints

and I don’t understand why

When I needed You the most

You would leave me’

The Lord replied

‘My son, My precious child

I love you and I would never leave you

during your times of your suffering

When you could see

only one set of footprints

It was then that I carried you’

I am having a LSS after I dreamed of visiting the beach, writing my dreams in the sand with  my fingers. I remember this narrative made into a song with lovely lyrics. Humming it when I woke up.

Yes, it was a lovely dream when you get in touch with yourself while admiring nature at its best, walking along the beach, burying your feet under, thinking about life, believing and not  losing faith. The Lord is your anchor, a ready shoulder to lean on and when the burden is too  heavy, He’ll carry you on His shoulder.

(big thanks to Malou for letting me share a  photo she took in Palawan when they were on vacation in the Philippines).

He is enjoying their stay in Osaka. They’ll be back on November 4 in time for Nate’s classes after Undas. This is his second trip abroad. Lucky kid, been to Singapore and Legoland in Malaysia. An advance 13th birthday gift for him.

This is Nara park according to my friend Mich.
He says this is butter beer so he is perhaps allowed to drink it.
Serious Nate…pensive!

What are your favorite websites?

Tnere are only three sites that I frequently visit, Anna’s books, Goodreads because my virtual library is there and FB with two pages and two groups that I manage aside of course from WordPress. I love these sites. I get so much joy visiting them, interacting with friends, exchanging news and ideas and ….just getting in touch.

We were friends since our college days in UST. He used to be a seminarian, shifted to an AB course when he left the seminary then studied nursing when he got married. They migrated to the US several years ago.

Yesterday, he greeted me a ‘belated happy birthday’ at the same time saying that my   birthday gift is on the way. This is the fourth time he sent me  $100 each, in another birthday, when we had Covid here at home, when Mom died two years ago and yesterday. Such blessings! He said he is just sharing his blessings  to friends like me.

More than fifty years of friendship! Although we don’t get in touch regularly, it is nice to be remembered all these years. Mel is such a generous soul. I am so blessed and grateful. A $100.00 is now equivalent to P5,708.00 pesos.
