For two days now, I’ve been busy with my garden uprooting weeds and trimming some plants.
Last December, Josef and I uprooted our too big monstera deliciosa. It’s trunk is bigger than my arms. I cut the smaller part and planted it in a pot and will transfer it to a big one later. It is sprouting small leaves. The rest I put in a water tub and this morning, cut six inches of it to plant to another pot. Monstera deliciosa is commonly known as Swiss cheese plant. When it is big enough, it costs more than a thousand pesos. Years ago, Nissa’s sister-in-law gave it as a Christmas gift to me.
It is nice to see the clean look of the garden, maintaining one is hard though. You must really love the soil to garden successfully . Transferred more of my pink rain lilies to the ground. They act as ground cover and usually bloom when it rains.
I also harvested some kalamansi (Philippine lime). Will post the photos on my other blog, Gardens and Empty Spaces. (https://arlene1027.wordpress.com)
