It always touches me to receive notes, e-mails and any sort of communication from friends and relatives who inquire about my health and how I am coping at the moment, but when it comes to receiving moral support from people who barely know me, it really makes me cry. New found friends, yes, my angel warriors, yes, I think they are. But more than the knowledge that there are people out there who reach out and give a helping hand, it’s their unsolicited gestures of concern and willingness to help that makes my heart sing.
His name is Jeff, I have never met him but I know that he is a friend. This morning, I received an e-mail from my brother Noel telling me that one of his office mates gave a gift for my treatment. How amazing! My brother once told me that he did the same thing when my Dad was undergoing dialysis two years ago. My sincerest thanks Jeff for your generosity, and in behalf of the family, I say, Salamat!
No thanks necessary. The Lord blesses us in order that we may bless others. When you thank HIM that is enough. But I do want to clarify that what I send is not only from me. It is from wife (Janel) and others here. So please just pray for all of us that give. We are sorry that it couldn’t be more but the recession is affecting us a little more that we would like.
However, in reality I am indebted to your family. Thank you all for Noel. He is an amazing man. He is brilliant but humble. That is a rear combination to find (at least here in the States). I sometimes tell Noel that I thank the Philippines for letting us have him. He thinks I am kidding but I’m not. I fell in love with the Philippines and your family through Noel’s stories. I feel as if I know you all already.
The Lord bless you and yours with strength and health.
PS – Noel’s daughter is GORGEOUS!!!… but too old for my sons. See if you can get Noel & his wife to have one more daughter for my 6 month old son….LOL…;)
Be blessed,
Jeff Hurd (on behalf of myself & my wife Janel)

Now, you really made me cry. And I am glad that you think of our family as one of your own. Noel is my youngest brother, I am really proud that he is the most thoughtful and caring brother that I have. We really miss him a lot you know, because there is really no dull moment when he is around.
My warm regards to your wife Janel and to your sons. And thank you Jeff for being a friend. God bless you too and the rest of your family.
