Happy Feast of the Epiphany.
Some people think that Epiphany is always celebrated on January 6 but it falls on the first Sunday of the first month of the year. Some think it is the end of the Christmas season but for us Roman Catholics, the end of the liturgical Christmas season is on the Feast of the Baptism of the Lord, which falls on a Sunday after Epiphany. There are three things that Epiphany means to us Christians: the revelation that Jesus is the son of God, the ways God reveals His truth to us and how we respond to His revelation. It marks the day the Magi visited baby Jesus in Bethlehem.
It is an endless cycle. So we will keep our Christmas decor once again, fondly reminiscing about Christmas past and looking forward to another one praying that we are still healthy and alive.
We should be grateful for those ordinary moments that made us smile, the little things that make life worthwhile, the unremarkable events, the wonderful things we get to experience. Life is meant to be meaningful and memorable.
