Had my prescriptions filled up today. I visited our munisipyo to get my free medicines. You just have to present a new doctor’s prescription every four months. Then they’ll give you those meds that they have on hand afterwhich in the succeeding months, they are delivered at home. I dropped by the supermarket and Mercury Drug to buy my medicines which are not provided by the Mayor’s office.
This month, I have another laboratory test requested by my hematologist then will have my check-up scheduled when I get the results. It’s a routine that I follow religiously visiting my doctors every three and four months.
It is so obvious that the most prominent invention was born during this lifetime. Internet was invented in January 01, 1983.
Back in the early 90s when my youngest brother was in his last year in Electronics and Communications Engineering, he assembled our first computer at home buying it piece by piece and attaching each piece when he came home at night. When he graduated, he was employed by Kodak Philippines and was sent to Guam to maintain their machines there but before he left, he taught us how to use the computer he assembled. It used to be ‘dial up’ and sometimes hard to connect online. He taught me to have that Yahoo account which I still use until now. Back then, we used ICQ to get in touch. He is now in the US mainland with his family. He migrated there in 1993.
WWW and HTTPS have gone a long way to teach us to communicate worldwide as easy as 1,2,3 at the mere touch of a finger. We now have Internet banking which is so useful in maintaining account balances, we buy things online too using those pages and websites. Getting in touch with friends and relatives are just the additional advantages of using the Internet. I love how it has evolved over time giving us that easy access. So many Internet providers are available now and they are so convenient to use. There is always Google now that we could use every day.
I am not keen on AI though, I don’t use it because I don’t like it.
It's been some years since I started this blog. Supposedly, it was only to share my plight as a cancer patient and survivor but over the years it has somehow evolved into something personal about my life and my family.
So really glad to have met you all wonderful people out there. Someone commented once that he liked the title of this blog, Dreams and Escapes. Dream on, there are more things in life than we really think. Be happy, you only live once. Sometimes you also need an escape from the vicissitudes of life and this blog helps me cope. Welcome. Feel free to leave your comments, I do welcome them.
It took me so long to access this blog, I wonder what happened really. It is always touch and go so I stay with my main blog Dreams and Escapes which you can access here. This is just a trial post once more. I could not even see the tags and categories….whew!

I can’t believe I haven’t touched and visited this blog like forever (an exaggeration of course) but I was so focused on updating my main blog so I forgot about this. Early this morning while I was watering the plants, I looked up at our jackfruit trees and saw this. I was hoping I could […]
