They are part of the family. We have 10 Shih Tzu and mixed Shih Poo, 7 Aspins with two puppies and the latest addition is our Siberian Husky Addy.
What is good about having pets? Josef and Jovy buy dog food like veggies and chicken breast /liver almost every day, they still mix them with rice, pellets, dog vitamins and kibble. Our Aspins and the Husky stay near our dirty kitchen and at the garage when the car is out. Our Aspins act as our door bell…haha! We hear their barks when someone is at the gate. When I’m in the garden uprooting weeds, they are there too playing. You cannot question a dog’s loyalty, they are there to protect you. The two puppies will be given to Jovy’s officemates in a month or two.
What is good about having pets? They reduce stress and anxiety. They offer consistent companionship.🐶🐕🐕🦺🐩🦮
Thank You Lord for veering us away from the super typhoon Uwan. As one friend said, your victory over nature is our victory.
I went out for a while to sweep the garden with fallen leaves brought about by the wind yesterday and last night. The rain has stopped and the sun is trying to shown its face. It is still windy outside. Our adopted Husky Addy was there. She gently raised her paws when she saw me, short of that embrace because I was holding a dustpan and a broom.
There was this lone Gardenia bloom that survived the typhoon then I saw two pink rain lily blooms at the corner of the garden. Some Camias have shown tiny buds too.
Thank God for answered prayers. It was a miracle that despite the fact that we were under typhoon signal #3 the past two days, and seeing the effect of typhoon Uwan in Bicol and in Aurora provinces, we were spared of the flash flood usually brought by super typhoons. Rain was minimal, just the same Josef and Jovy transferred the car to a higher place in Cambridge village here in our town. They are working from home at the moment, they’ll get it back after their shift. Nissa’s family stayed in their home in Gentri, Cavite since they are on WFH too and Nate has no classes until tomorrow. They’ll go back to Manila early tonight.
It’s nice to note that when typhoon Uwan hit land, it weakened. It was met by the silence of the Sierra Madre range and the Caraballo mountains. These mountain ranges are our natural protectors from typhoons. Unfortunately, Sierra Madre is slowly being destroyed by mining, deforestation and such. I wonder why, the national and local government allowed it. Back in Duterte’s time, he lifted the nine years’ ban on touching these sites….yes….because of greed.
Sierra MadreTook this during our visit to Tanay, Rizal after my chemotherapy in December 2009. This is Sierra Madre.
It's been some years since I started this blog. Supposedly, it was only to share my plight as a cancer patient and survivor but over the years it has somehow evolved into something personal about my life and my family.
So really glad to have met you all wonderful people out there. Someone commented once that he liked the title of this blog, Dreams and Escapes. Dream on, there are more things in life than we really think. Be happy, you only live once. Sometimes you also need an escape from the vicissitudes of life and this blog helps me cope. Welcome. Feel free to leave your comments, I do welcome them.
It took me so long to access this blog, I wonder what happened really. It is always touch and go so I stay with my main blog Dreams and Escapes which you can access here. This is just a trial post once more. I could not even see the tags and categories….whew!
It’s been a while. I am reblogging this here from my main blog Dreams and Escapes. I hope you’ll find time to visit it to. My gosh, I got so excited when I saw it. There are several designs actually and all with Biblical passages. One of the vendors in our subdivision is selling them. […]
