This morning, I had my first laboratory tests this year. Four small vials of blood, 12 kinds of tests.
I’ll be back to my nephrologist a week from now. More than two weeks of rest and I’m here again. I really hope and pray things will gradually be back to normal. My blood pressure today is okay, I lost two pounds during the Christmas season. When I had my short stay with Nissa’s family, I was forced to eat rice every meal because they do daily. Nissa is a good cook now. I admire how she lovingly prepares dishes for the family. She has so many accessories and accoutrements in the kitchen.
We enjoyed the nights sharing stories in their wrap around balcony while watching the blinking Christmas lights infront of their house. One time, she and Nate slept there while enjoying the night breeze with their jackets on and blankets. I miss them especially Nate.
Started gardening two days ago. Planted some seeds of okra, tomatoes and eggplants which Josef brought home in a pouch. I hope they would thrive. My winged-beans are now flowering and bearing buds. I harvested some the other day. On my way home this morning, I chanced upon these vendors from Baguio City selling fresh vegetables. I bought cucumbers, chayote tops and broccoli. I am careful now in choosing diabetic-friendly food.
Oh my, I am on my third book on Goodreads Reading Challenge this year but I set aside reading it for a while. I created a page on FB similar to my blog here entitled Life’s Dreams and Inspirations. If you happen to drop by at Facebook, come visit it. It’s public unlike my personal link which is only for friends. Thanks!
