I’ve always been conscious of what I eat since I became diabetic. Sometimes, I Google it first before I buy an item in the market. 

The nephrologist told me to go easy on red meat, pork and chicken but I should eat plenty of greens,  fish and fruits which have low glycemic index.

This morning, I bought two medium-sized sweet potato, a couple of carrots and about one-fourth kilo of Baguio beans with twenty pieces of lumpia wrapper. Here it is – veggie spring rolls.   No rice. Vinegar with siling labuyo and minced garlic for dip.

Yeay For Dreams


What’s something you would attempt if you were guaranteed not to fail.

If it is guaranteed that I won’t fail, I want to write my own memoir. A treatise that people could learn from. I will share my journey as a cancer patient and survivor, how I coped given a second chance at life. Actually, I started this  blog when I learned that I had a stage 3 colon cancer.

I met so many followers who shared the same fate of their own and some of their family members. I read my earlier posts now and then and I still find those words they left behind sort of inspiration for me to share my plight. I still has low immunity until now, a sickly 67-year-old woman  but I am  not losing hope. If I could live for another decade, that would really be a blessing in my life. I still could watch Nate grow into a young man. He is turning twelve next month.

Hope is not lost for those who dream….still!
