What is your favorite hobby or pastime?
Aside from blogging? It’s reading of course. Finding new authors and books. It is a lifetime commitment.
I love gardening too but it is occasional. I always experiment in the kitchen. Now that I am a diabetic, I need to research for diabetic friendly food.

I just attended a very inspiring celebration of mass of our family priest friend Fr. Aly Barcinal, it’s been almost thirty years now since we met during our house blessing back in 1995. I messaged him after the mass and thanked him for his lovely homily. He answered to always keep the faith and he is praying for me. Thank God for all those inspiring and touching prayers from friends.
My priest friend and adopted son (yes, he was adopted into the family since he was in college) Fr. Lovell Javier was recently appointed as school principal of UST Angelicum in Iloilo City. Like me, he also majored in Economics when he was in college. He recently earned his Masters degree in School Management and awarded as With Highest Distinction. He is a licensed professional teacher. He used to be assigned at their finance department. I congratulated him with his new assignment and he texted back, “the appointment is like climbing towards calvary.” I laughed. I know he is qualified and could succeed in his new appointment. Although we regularly get in touch, we haven’t seen each other since his Thanksgiving mass in UST after his priestly Ordination in 2012.
The gift of religious friends is such a joy. I have several since I became active as admin of our Catholic pages and group.
