Got engrossed reading again. Just done with my 92nd read this year. Having a virtual library at Goodreads is such a big help. I can monitor every book I have read in any year since I participated in their yearly challenges since 2014.

Around this time, I love reading  Christmas stories, some are novellas but most of them are novels. I love how the magic and enchantment of Christmas is portrayed in a book – the tensils, angels and other decors, star, Nativity set, garlands and such. I could imagine the smell of a freshly cut pine  tree as described in the book.

Are you familiar with Viola Shipman? It’s the pen name of the award-winning memoirist Wade Rouse. It is actually the name of his grandmother. I have read five of his books the latest of which was The Wishing  Bridge. A family over everything and a Christmas story- yes, family comes first. When I encounter a certain author that I like, I try to collect his books. I still have to read A Wish For Winter and The Secret of Snow.
