It’s cold. The sun hasn’t shown its face yet. January and February  are the coolest months in our country. We are now under the Amihan season where cold dry air from Siberia blows in.

I was able to garden for a while, pruning the overgrown leaves of my Gardenia plants. Then I transferred some of my pink rain lilies in the ground. They are good ground covers  and when it rains, they bloom. My Camia is the  only thing blooming  in my garden now.

Finally, I was also able to trim the Fukien tea plants. It is nice to stay in the garden when there is breeze blowing.

It’s back to work for most. Josef still works from home today. Nate will be back to school on January 12, another week of rest for him. They had met up with Nissa’s close friends and classmates yesterday. The three of them were Nissa’s secondary sponsors on her wedding almost 15 years ago. One of them is a chef who owns a bake shop and a restaurant in Tagaytay. So really glad to see them together again. They have maintained their friendship for more than two decades now.

I got moringa leaves from Gentri, will use them for my tinola and mung beans. I will use the soursop leaves from their neighbor for my tea.
