Being Observant


Are you a good judge of character?

Yes, I’d like to think  so. They say that first impressions last but I don’t think it applies to people we just meet once. You could not judge a character of a person by just meeting once. There are times though that you get to learn when a person is bragging or not, full of himself by the way he  acts, the way he talks infront of you, the way he carry himself.

There is something wonderful when you meet a person for the first time and you click. It seems as if you have known him/her long enough to be your friend. There is that instantaneous meeting of the minds.

Noticing the body language, observing their words and actions and recognising the qualities that define a person’s true nature will be the best things that could probably help you judge one’s character.

Yes, two more nights to go and we’ll be done with the nine days novena masses before Christmas which we call Simbang Gabi.

Last night, it was his Excellency Most Reverend Charles John  Brown, DD the Apostolic Nuncio to the Philippines who presided the 7th Simbang Gabi mass at  Mary Mother of Hope – Landmark Makati Chapel. I  enjoyed listening to his long but inspiring homily.

The Advent season is full of God’s blessings for all of us. He makes us realize and remember to look back at the whole year that is about to end and to look forward to a new and hopeful year that is about to begin. Are we ready to take Him into our hearts? Are we ready to accept Him in our lives? True, we always say time is gold and we should not waste it but we also need to take stock of what is more important, a quiet contemplation, a moment of silence, a minute of giving thanks. Let this be a season of joy for all of us, awaiting a most precious event of the season – a baby born in swaddling cloths to save mankind.

CHRISTMAS…three more days to go.🌲✨️☃️🎄

I am excited to spend a few days with Nissa’s family after Christmas and probably until the New Year. It would be lovely to see Nate again and visit their lovely home in Gentri.
