It’s Skechers

Tell us about your favorite pair of shoes, and where they’ve taken you.

It cost me the earth, a rather expensive slip on sandals that Nissa and I bought at Robinsons Galleria before. I wonder if the store is still there after all these years. Their price ranged from 3,500 to 4,000. It was like buying a pair of Crocs.

Skechers are sturdy and could last for a long time, a convenient thing to use when you have that long walk window-shopping at malls. I still have the pair until now but no longer wear them. I like those designs of Korean sandals 👡 (not really these high heels), they are so comfortable. Last Christmas, Nissa gifted me with a pair of Nike sandals along with her other gifts 📦. I haven’t used them yet.

Moon

Amidst the neon light

The moon shines bright

Illuminating the sky

With it’s light.

I remember the days

When my siblings and I

Would lay down

In the front yard

Using our hands as pillows

The soft grass as our bed.

We would remember the stories

Of Lola Basyang

Sometimes we would scare each other

With ghost stories too

While we munch on our favorite

Boiled sweet potatoes and peanuts.

Remembering the days of old

While gazing at the moon above.
