True enough, I love the true story of Tisha, the life of a young teacher in the Alaskan wilderness as told to the author Robert Specht.
It is the story of Anne Hobbs who dreamed of a different life. She was only nineteen in 1927 when she came to harsh and beautiful Alaska as a teacher. She allowed Native Americans in her class and fell in love with a half-Inuit man. Her days taught the meaning of perseverance, prejudice, irrational hatred and unconditional love.
She knew nothing about Alaska or living in the wilderness nor the social conditions and Alaskan customs but she was open to new experiences learning about how to live in the wilderness, the harsh winter season. I love how the story unfolded, told in simple words that one could easily grasp and understands.
This is my second five ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ read this month and my 11th read so far. I would like to start on The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo later. Heard so much about this book and I’m curious.
