Today December 29 is the Feast of the Holy Family. The Christmas Season officially began on Christmas Eve. It lasts until the Baptism of the Lord which is usually the Second Sunday of January. From Christmas Day until January 1st, the Solemnity of the Blessed Virgin Mary is the Octave of Christmas. We honor her role as mother of Christ and His Church. There are many feast days this season, The Holy Family, Holy Innocents and the Epiphany which commemorates the visit of the Magi.
2024 is a challenging year for me healthwise, with so many laboratories done and several visits to my doctors. I am glad though that I still feel good despite everything. It’s a year of getting in touch with old friends, bonding with family and reading a lot. I’ve done 103 books for this year’s Goodreads challenge. I’ve been at it since 2014 and will continue the challenge next year.
I am so grateful for all the blessings and answered prayers this 2024. Looking ahead to 2025. May it bring us peace, love and more healthy days ahead.
