Tonight is the fifth day of Simbang Gabi, a Filipino tradition of nine consecutive novena masses before Christmas.  Been switching between the Manila Cathedral and the Mary Mother of  Hope- Landmark Chapel in Makati for the past four nights. Tonight, a good friend Fr. Pao, SSP  will be presiding at the Mary Mother of Hope Chapel. Really looking forward to it.

This morning, I wrapped Christmas gifts for my immediate family.  It’s  six days to go before Christmas.  Over the years, I have narrowed down my Christmas list. The rest, I just keep in touch through Messenger, calls and text messages. Afterall, it’s  the thought that counts, right?

We have this tradition of opening gifts after attending mass on Christmas Eve, then Noche Buena afterwhich the opening of gifts follows. It is always a thrill to receive gifts that you want. Most of the time, Nissa asks me what gifts I want.
