Think back on your most memorable road trip.

I could think of three actually. Those years when my kids were not that busy yet with work. One that I remember most was our visit to Tanay, Rizal when we were invited by our neighbor to visit their little cabin there. Seeing the Sierra Madre range was such a thrill. That was the time I was done with my chemotherapy  three weeks before. A litmus test  for me.

We had another Tanay trip to visit Regina Rica in January 2012. Home to the 10-story statue of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary, one of the tallest Marian statues in the world. That visit made me closer to Mama Mary. I blogged about it here too.

Year 2010 and 2011, we visited Caleruega  twice spending overnight there both times. I have posted several photos in my previous blogs too. We brought four cameras just to take pictures of the lovely place and even had a chance to attend an afternoon mass there, the Transfiguration Chapel was lovely overlooking the Nasugbu mountains.

Back in the days when I was quite well, I loved going on roadtrips with the family, discovering  new places and  admiring the beautiful landscape along the way.  The cold winds that touch your face, the greens along the countryside, flowers by the wayside, quaint and small eateries lining the road but serve  good food.

I  had my camera always at the ready. And it’s not the camera phone but a real one, an Ixus Canon that I learned to operate. I gave it up when it broke and could no longer take good photos and I switched to my camera phones. These point and shoot cameras are so easy to operate and nowadays, they take good photos too.

I took this inside the car while we were traversing Marilaqui highway on our way to Tanay, Rizal.
It was a long but uneventful trip to visit Regina RICA, to see the 71 ft. tall image of Mama Mary.

Took this during one of my visits in our town in Pangasinan. We used to take a dip in the river when we were kids.

I miss visiting Caleruega in Nasugbu, Batangas. We took hundreds of photos when we were there twice several years ago. I also miss the beaches of San Antonio, Zambales.

Have a nice journey this month of February. Time flies and  before we know it, it will be December again.
