That was quite a scare when our weather  bureau Pagasa placed Metro Manila and the province of Rizal on red alert last night, and to add to my stress, Marikina River was under 2nd alarm which means that when it reaches critical level, there would be so many flooded areas in Rizal.

It was a crazy dance for Kristine wrecking havoc almost in the entirety of Bicol region, passed by Batangas, Laguna and Cavite in Southern Luzon then  on to Metro Manila and Rizal Province. There were floods in the provinces in the North too particularly our province Pangasinan. We were lucky Metro Manila and Rizal didn’t have those strong rains like what they had in Bicol. It was an intermittent rain though. Some of the streets in our subdivision got flooded, not passable last night to light vehicles. Even our three gates going to Pasig, to Cainta proper and to Pasig-Mandaluyong-Makati areas were not accessible  last night.

Kristine is leaving our shores this afternoon but there is this conjecture of having the Fujiwhara effect. It is a phenomenon that occurs when two nearby cyclonic vortices move around its other and close the distance between the circulations of their corresponding low-pressure area. Pagasa said there is a developing forecast situation wherein Kristine will be looping over the West Philippine sea on Sunday and Monday towards the direction of the  Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR). This scenario depends on the behaviour of the low pressure area east of northeastern Mindanao  which has recently  developed into a tropical depression.

Whew! I only got about three hours of sleep last night monitoring the storm.
