At Ninoy Aquino Parks and Wildlife.  Can you imagine yourself spending an unhurried day here, maybe just reading or communing with nature?



When I was a kid, I always wondered what lies at the other end of every bridge and footpath I came across.

And amidst the noise of daily living, one longs for peace and quiet, a lovely corner where one can listen to the silence.  Every time I go home to the province, I always visit this place, my own corner of the sky.

The night seems too long –

And my restless mind

Hovers between waking and wistful sleep.

I long to see the sun

And the gentle play of light

On the break of dawn

I long to see the gentle lap of waves

On a cold morning by the sea.

I long to see the silver hues of raindrops

Falling gently on my head.

I long to see the miracle

Of a flower slowly unfolding.

The beauty of a school of fish

Swimming through my fingertips.

Take me.

Take me there please

Just for today.
