No, Covid is not my favorite subject. In fact I am trying to avoid discussing how we were during the three weeks that we were on strict quarantine. It had a big impact though in our lives.

It seems like my life has drastically changed. I still feel its debris because every now and then, I have slight fever every day. There are times when I wake up but I don’t feel rested at all. I am taking Melatonin every night now to help me sleep but it seems it has no effect. There are times when I wake up and still feel so weak.

I read an article that it is not just fourteen days. Post-covid symptoms suddenly arise. My sense of hearing has become weaker. Ordinary conversations are high-pitched to my ears and noisy. There were times when I would hear those angry and strange voices.

I watch videos to pass the time when I can’t sleep (mostly about doggies) but I put off the sounds. I can’t stand too long to take a bath so I sit on a stool. I have a friend who almost lost his life because of pneumonia and his sense of hearing and his eyes were affected.

The effects of Covid manifest themselves one by one when it is gone. I have low immunity because I am a cancer survivor so I take vitamin D, sodium ascorbate with Zinc and my usual maintenance medicines. I alternate drinking green tea lemon, ginger juice and honey citron tea every morning.

It is hard to adjust but I have to. Thanks to a loving God who give us second chances at life.

I think I’ve forgotten how to post. Last week, our LGU finally declared that we are now Covid free. I don’t want to go into details anymore how I suffered. For almost two week, I was not able to eat. I had body weakness but thank God,no pneumonia.

Until now I still have slight fever every day which my doctor friend says is the debris of the virus. I cannot stand for long. My sense of hearing is affected. Sometimes I hear voices. I could not understand videos because they are high-pitched and noisy. I talk to my friends via Messenger just typing words like this.

Covid changed the world and it is also changing the outlook of each and everyone of us.

Nissa is doing well except for a little back pain and her arms ache too, otherwise she is good.

Nate and Obet are temporarily here with us. They had another swab tests the other day and it came out yesterday. It was negative, thank God. We decided to let them stay here for a while meantime that Nissa is in the hospital. In between classes, Nate is a typical eight-year-old playing with a toy gun. First time I saw him participate in an online class. Our dining table is his temporary study area.

Nate is fond of creating whistle tunes. I asked how he does it. “Watch me Nonna” he said and shaped his mouth and whistled. I just laughed. Life is crazy when Nate is here.

I commented on Vice-Pres. Leni Robredo’s post on Covid. I was surprised when she answered and there were so many of her fans who commented too. I took a screen shot earlier.

There are now a hundred likes on what I wrote and more than 80 likes on VP Leni’s answer. More comments are coming in telling me that they are praying formy daughter. I am so touched. A collective prayer is powerful, right?
