Busy, Busy

Yay, been busy the whole day. Left the house early for my appointment with my nephrologist  at The Medical City Hospital. He told me not to forget to consult with my new endocrinologist. I am scheduled for check-up next month with my hematologist. Since the endocrinologist and  nephrologist give the same medication for my blood sugar, I  will just consult her on my next check-up this coming May.

Dropped by the Ace Hardware at SM East Ortigas to buy kitchen faucet, lavatory faucet and drain pipe for the dirty kitchen. Oh my, I was surprised how expensive they are now. Canvassed for a plumber’s service two days ago and they have a standard rate of 3k to 4k. I chose the one who has a shop in our town. With closed eyes, we had it done in thirty minutes a few hours ago.  Nissa said it was so expensive. Indeed but this kind of service  needs  someone who knows the job that is why they are paid higher than ordinary carpenters. One load off my shoulder,  a total of 5k in one go. At least now, we don’t  have to worry about leaking faucets and drain pipe that was not working well.

Did a little grocery shopping on my way home from the bank. Did a lot of walking too. Good thing, it was not so hot outside. It is cloudy until now.

Just checked my notification when I saw WordPress’ message that I got a big jump on my viewers yesterday. When I checked my stats, around 494 were from my homepage and archives  all from the US. Got a total of 583 views in one day. It was a nice surprise because nowadays I only average from 120-180 views every  day and when I don’t update it, 50 views is high enough. Maybe they have found my older posts which got so many views years ago. One of the highlights was reaching close to 7,000 views overnight on my posts about Mama Mary’s birthday.

One down, one more to go. I’ve been to my nephrologist this morning, everything is well. The same medications for the next three months. He only added one capsule of antibiotics for my UTI. My next check-up is on September, same sched as with my new endocrinologist. On June 20 Friday, I am scheduled to see my hematologist.

Now…back to reading. Relaxed days again. Thank You Lord, thank you Mama Mary.😘❤️🤲🙏🏻

I had my required laboratory tests first week of July as scheduled by my endocrinologist and see her after a week. Good thing I asked the information nurse if she will be having clinic a few days after only to be told that she will be back this August. Since they only accept ten patients for the day to an assigned doctor, I was there at the The Medical City clinic around 6am, they open at 7am and the doctor usually arrive around 9am. A long wait really only to be told that my endo isn’t coming.

The nurse gave me the number of her secretary that I could call. The latter told me that the doctor is on indefinite leave because she is pregnant, that is according to the nurse at the clinic. I am thinking of looking for another endocrinologist, on second thought, the main hospital is quite far. Maybe I would just inquire at the smaller hospital near our place or maybe I will just wait for my next scheduled check-up with the hematologist first week of September. She is also an internist. What do you think?

On the way home, I dropped by the wet market to buy fish and some veggies. My suki vendors inquired why I haven’t visited for so long and that was more than three years ago since Covid 19. Went grocery shopping for a few items before going  home.

I’ve missed going to the wet market but I could not buy more since I could not carry heavy items. It has always been Josef and I. Anyway, what items we lack at home, I buy at the supermarket now including poultry, they are a little cheaper because for senior citizens like me, some items have 5% discount.

What a morning!
