Yeay it’s cold here even in this early morning. The Siberian winds are bringing this cold weather and we call it Hanging Amihan.

Again, I got lazy blogging. Sometimes it is better to just listen to music and I have been busy making memes for our two groups that I also manage. They are mostly religious in nature since both are Catholic sites.

Here’s one I’d like to share with you. I haven’t published it yet anywhere else. The photo was taken by Nissa in one of their road trips.

I think this was taken in Baler, Aurora province. Last year was the only time they didn’t plan a trip so they bought a new car instead. They are planning to transfer to their new house this year.

I am in the middle of reading Birdsong by Sebastian Falks. Finally, I found a copy. It’s been on my wish list for so long.

Imagine, it is already February. They call it the love month. The first leaf in the calendar is gone. Happy new month to us all, may it be better than last month.

Baler

As we walk our individual life journeys, we pick up resentment and hurts, which attach themselves to our souls like burrs clinging to a hiker’s socks. These stowaways may seem insignificant at first, but, over time, if we do not occasionally stop and shake them free, the accumulation becomes a burden to our souls. – richard paul evans

Good morning everyone!

For the past four days, I really didn’t feel like blogging. Still lazy to blog, from time to time though I make comments on my favorite blogs and like my friends’ posts.  I don’t know why really, blogging  has taken a backseat for a while.

Yesterday, the family was complete  with Mom, Nissa’s family, Josef and Jovy. It was a lovely family day for us.  Enjoyed playing with Nate when Nissa and Obet went to our family dentist for a while after lunch. Since he has few toys here at home, we always play  with some blocks and his tiny dinosaurs. He seemed contented though even with those, so few to choose from. They don’t always bring some of his toys when they come to visit us.  Bath time is usually playtime too for both of us. Nissa said  Nate is happy when they are here because he could take a bath at least twice before they go home.   We both picked kalamansi for them to bring home. When he saw my mini-watering can for my hanging plants, he filled it with water and watered my shamrocks and shrimp plants.  He even asked his mom to buy him one too so he could use it at home.

I took some shots while he was busy playing.

The other week,  they went to Baler,  the capital of Aurora province which is located 231 kilometers north-east of Manila.  Nate told me about visiting  waterfalls, swimming, eating and eating. There was a place there where Nissa said is more of a zigzag than the roads going to Baguio City.

Sunrise at Baler

The hotel where they stayed  faces this lovely beach where you could watch the sunrise from your window or go out and submerge you feet in the sand.  She brought me so many “pasalubongs”, gifts from Baler including some key chains  that I collect and refrigerator magnet.  We had a lovely time viewing all the photos they took of the place.

Yesterday, she also brought her Mother’s Day gift for me, a lovely SAKURA Longchamp bag. I  used to collect bags, I don’t always get the chance to use them all but this one I like.  It is for everyday use and so convenient for those items which normally won’t fit a small bag. She knows I always bring an umbrella, my cellphone and tab when I go out.

Today is Holy Trinity Sunday. Attended the early morning mass alone. Mom attends the Sunday TV mass.

Have a nice week ahead.
