I am excited to show you my two new air plants. They arrived today together with my air plant holders.
The two in front are called Tillandsia Ionantha while the one in the middle is Ionantha CV. One of the two latest additions would turn red when it matures and they produce flowers too. I am excited. Hopefully, they would grow healthy.
I found this set of lovely mini clay stove designed the traditional way (it’s only about three or four inches long), a mini pot with cover, frying pan and a clay dish in one of our cabinet drawers. I think it is actually a child’s toy given by my sister-in-law years and years ago.
They are just perfect for temporary home to my air plant meantime that the air plant holders I ordered haven’t arrived yet. Two more air plants will be delivered tomorrow. I am beginning to love this. Not so much maintenance as long as you’ll mist them every day or dip them in water for 10 minutes every week, dry and put them back to their holders.
I lost most of the photos I uploaded on my documents in my computer. I should have copied them to my hard drive but I was so lazy. Anyway, at least some of them are still in my camera.
I could not concentrate reading until I master this block editor a bit. I am finally getting the hang of it. Hopefully in the next few days, I’ll be well acquainted to it.
Spent the time gardening the last two days. I was able to trim our carabao grass and plant more seedlings in the process. I actually ordered three air plants together with air plant holders at Lazada. Here’s the first one.
It is called Ionantha CV air plant. I hope I could propagate it someday. My order of different colors of Zinnia has just arrived from Lazada. I hope they thrive as well. I divided my Sedum, planted them into four pots. They love the sun.
People call those who love plants plantitos and plantitas here. I’ve been a gardener for too long to be called such, I’d rather be called a simple gardener. Those who are crazy about those lovely plastic pots, some with even corrugated designs just love to show off what they have planted. I’d rather plant them direct to the soil if I can.
It's been some years since I started this blog. Supposedly, it was only to share my plight as a cancer patient and survivor but over the years it has somehow evolved into something personal about my life and my family.
So really glad to have met you all wonderful people out there. Someone commented once that he liked the title of this blog, Dreams and Escapes. Dream on, there are more things in life than we really think. Be happy, you only live once. Sometimes you also need an escape from the vicissitudes of life and this blog helps me cope. Welcome. Feel free to leave your comments, I do welcome them.
It’s been a while. I am reblogging this here from my main blog Dreams and Escapes. I hope you’ll find time to visit it to. My gosh, I got so excited when I saw it. There are several designs actually and all with Biblical passages. One of the vendors in our subdivision is selling them. […]
I can’t believe I haven’t touched and visited this blog like forever (an exaggeration of course) but I was so focused on updating my main blog so I forgot about this. Early this morning while I was watering the plants, I looked up at our jackfruit trees and saw this. I was hoping I could […]

Gosh, I can’t believe it’s been almost a year now since I posted something here. I am always updated with my main blog though, a link of which is attached here. Sharing this photo I took yesterday, we locally call it Lato salad, a appetizer. I love seaweeds and I buy them once in a […]
Nonna’s joy. I think this is the second time I posted a picture of my grandson here. He is turning six this coming November. Time flies. Happy Grandparents’ Day to all proud grandparents like I am.
Gosh. I haven’t updated this site for so long concentrating instead on my main blog Dreams and Escapes. I hope I would be able to post more in the coming days.
This is just my 89th post after three years of blogging. But I have always been updated with my main blog. You can find the link here on the right corner of the blog. I’ve recently took shots of our garden blooms. Summer is here and more blooms could be seen. […]
