Oh, I wonder if I should be glad for having so many followers lately. When I check and look at their sites, either there is only one follower or just one or two with one blog post. Some are even blank.

I don’t want to be choosy but I want someone I could interact with or someone who comments on my blog posts. Come to think of it, they follow you but there is nothing there that would let you know whether they like your posts or not. I always acknowledge those who follow and read their posts too and I click ” follow” when I find their sites interesting.

I click Discover every now and then and I visit the blogs of those who interest me. Lucky to find them following me back.

I’ve used the Jetpack prompts three times already and I earned lots of views on the very first one I wrote about. Not all topics are worth-writing about. I earned sizable views yesterday (439 total) when they looked and read a previous post I wrote back in 2011 entitled Happy Hearts Day. Curious about love day? It does not mean that the V-day is only for lovers, it’s a celebration for everyone who loves life – friends, siblings, grandparents, grandkids and every one in the family.

I started writing daily since the year started. WordPress says I am on my 16th day this month of February. Hooray to blogging❤👨‍💻💐

Frustration to the max. Elizabeth who I follow and follows me back has just posted a new one. Pete gave me her URL because it seems I am no longer following her so I clicked follow and tried commenting, upon submission there’s nothing there, NADA.

My password is saved so I don’t need to log in but every time I check my “view admin”, it points me back to log in and it won ‘t accept the saved password. I tried password change but I am getting a hard time. I am afraid by the time I change my password, I could no longer access my account.

Have similar problem with another blogger friend Derrick, I could only see his posts when I go direct to his web site. He is neither in my reader feed but he could see my posts. There are no like and comment options in his blog.

Help please!

Why is it that I can follow other blogs but not the two of them?

I started following some of my followers. Maybe some of them regularly read my blog because they always click “like”. Sometimes it doesn’t mean that clicking “like ” is tantamount to really liking a post or reading it till the end. I am grateful to all of you, much more when you engage and let me read your comments.

There are a few who follow you and in turn they wanted you to follow them back. I always make it a point to read some posts first before I decide to follow one particular blogger. It is not necessary for me that they have thousands of followers. Even if they are new in the blogosphere as long as I can relate to their blog contents, I follow them. Of course it would be nice that you follow and have followers from all over because you also learn in the process – their way of life, the way they look at things, their beliefs and everything else in between. I like reading about blogging, gardening, books, poems, pets, photography, families, books and book reviews, simple way of lives, places I only see here but now not so much about music because I could not understand and hear it well. Hopefully someday, my normal sense of hearing will be back.

Do you always follow back those bloggers who follow you?

Just like on Facebook in which I cleared my list of friends lately, I’ve done the same thing to those blogs I follow online. As I have said before, it is not the number of followers that counts or the number of blogs you follow, I’m more appreciative of the content.

On Facebook when I posted that I narrowed down my list of friends, most of them asked, Am I still in? The mere fact that you could see my updates means you are in the loop…still.

I understand that some bloggers may not always have the time to compose a post, they might just be busy with life itself. But when it takes years that they are not blogging, they might have abandoned their blogs.

I visit DISCOVER from time to time looking for blogs quite similar to mine and believe me, there are hundreds. I do relate with some – blogging about life in general, family life in particular, those who love gardening, reading and those whose blogs describe the places where they are blogging from (I learn that way). I also love cooking segments and how well presented their recipes are. Photography is one thing so interesting in a blog, the way a blogger shows a particular place or object arresting to my eyes. Never mind if it is just a long empty road but speaks volumes to the reader. Poems too, yes! Although I don’t indulge in it more often, I love reading poems too. Dogs, I love those who share the lives of their lovable dogs. We have six doggies outside, a Shih Tzu and a Shih Poo inside the house. The last two share a room with Jovy and Josef, an air conditioned room at that.

Are you still active in the blogging world?

Sometimes, I get curious about those other bloggers who are not regular visitors to my blog why they like a particular post from long ago. Come to think of it, I don’t even remember writing about those subjects. So what I do is read  them too. When you are reading them, your visits to those posts do not register and add up to your stats.

My first question is, did I really write those? I have close to 2,800 posts since the start of this blog so sometimes it is hard to remember. Are you aware of that too?

It’s nice though to see new faces visiting your blog. Sometimes, I am not even familiar with the places where they come from. It is hard to maintain a blog.  Who says it is easy? You are putting yourself in the public eye.

To all those who visit my posts once in a while and to all my online friends here,  a big THANK YOU.

Where are they now?

Those long-ago bloggers who used to be so active in commenting then all of a sudden, they are gone. I miss their blog posts. From time to time, I see their comments in my old blog entries and when I click their site links, either the blog has become a private one or they have stopped posting altogether.

When does one stop blogging? I’ve been in the blogging world for ten years now and it did not even come to mind to stop sharing here. As I’ve always said before,  blogging has somehow become a way of life. You get to know people from all walks of life, you meet friends and it seems the geography becomes just a few minutes of visits and updates.  The places they visit become your world for a while too. You get to laugh and smile about their adventures and empathize with them in their misfortunes.

Of course, it is always  nice to meet new bloggers and old ones whose blogs you have just discovered. It is nice to get updates in places you have never been to but you see them vividly in pictures. It is always nice to share your thoughts and somewhere, somehow, someone is glad to hear from you.

Content still counts though. There is nothing like a good content that attracts fellow bloggers and writers to read your blog. Blogging is like going to school focusing on specific subjects one day at a time. I write, you read. You interact, I reply. And when we are happy with the interaction, we form a friendship. We look forward to the next post  sometimes with bated breath. What is in store for me today?

A blog entry isn’t just a long text, it is an opportunity to meet people, a chance to meet friends.

I am quite fascinated by books I read about life in Italy and in France. I love Peter  Mayle’s account about life in Provence, France in his three memoirs that I’ve read before. I was thrilled reading Frances Mayes’ Under the Tuscan Sun and the movie adaptation too.

I decided to find French and Italian bloggers or those who blog about life in France and Italy. I particularly like the rural scene, the countrysides of both and the way they live.  Found around four bloggers and I am excited to explore their sites.

Hooray 🙂
