Archive for the ‘70’s music’ Category

It’s getting rather colder at night and early in the morning you won’t even need to turn on your electric fan. It’s cold enough. Hopefully this will last until the end of February when the summer days slowly set in. December to the early week of  March are the best times of the year here in our country.  It is usually sunny during the day with a slight breeze in the afternoon and an almost zero possibility of typhoon or heavy rains  here in our area. Usually though in some parts of Visayas and Mindanao, they still experience occasional typhoons around this time.

I am listening to YouTube with my headset on.  60’s, 70’s and 80’s music. Lovely! An eclectic mix of music genre from ballads, slow rock, fast beats to mellow sounds.  Compared to the sound of today some of which I consider noise, the music of these three eras are the best  I think. I remember those days when we only had the radio to listen to and knowing those wonderful songs and memorizing those lyrics.  Heaven 🙂

Catching up on my reading. I am done with four books this year three of which I started the last few days of December 2018. I am presently in the middle of reading Go Set A Watchman by  Harper Lee.  I  postponed reading this one, I had it since last year but there were more books and authors that held my interest. This is supposed to be a sequel to To Kill A Mockingbird.  Have you read it?

Come to think of it, I am writing this without a title yet and after writing 2,502 posts since I started blogging, I can’t think  about more titles to my post. Just feeling happy on a Monday.

Yes, I believe those in their sixties are baby boomers.

It’s been a busy weekend and blogging took a back seat. I would love to blog every day just like before but it is a no go. It’s either one is too lazy to blog or nothing comes out worthy to blog about. I think it is more of the latter  though. Sometimes the muse doesn’t work.  But I am happy that a lot of people have followed my blog lately although when I looked, some blog sites are no longer active and the blogs are already deactivated. Some are written in another language that I can’t understand. Sorry guys, much as I want to follow you back or read your posts,  I am in a bind. Anyway, I did follow some of you and I look forward to reading your posts. It is always a thrill to discover new blogs and writers here at WordPress.

Nate turned four yesterday and my daughter  went on leave from work so she could prepare his small party celebration in school.  She brought along spaghetti, pizza, cake and ice cream for Nate’s classmates.  Seeing their pictures, I think Nate enjoyed the party. Last week, they went on a three-day trip to Subic, Zambales for swimming and to visit Zoobic Safari.   It is always nice to see Nate enjoying those moments at the beach.  There is nothing lovelier than being with your family on a road trip.

The last two days, I’ve been busy gardening again, trimming the carabao grass  while listening to good old music on my small radio outside.  Listening to news, humming along with  70’s and 60’s songs, that’s what life was all about the last two afternoons. It was nice to garden because it was a little windy.  I don’t have much of flowers nowadays except the blooming Crossandras, Santan  and Shamrock.  Our street is looking festive, they just hung lanterns  on lamp posts yesterday and lit them last night.  Beautiful 🙂   They even have these Christmas decor on the railings of the sidewalk made of native materials.  Nice 🙂

I managed to finish two books the past week, some light reading about works  of new authors that I found lately.

How are you all?
