I went back to my ENT yesterday because I could not stand the pain. I will be back on Thursday for ear cleaning. She is waiting for the swelling to subside.
She gave me prescriptions of antibiotics, meds for pain and ear drops. Last night it was still painful. Water sipped through my left ear a few days ago but I didn’t feel it until my ear was so painful. There was an infection. When I’m done with the ear cleaning, I can set an appointment with an audiologist she suggested. Ear aches affect even one’s sense of hearing and the left side of my jaw was painful too plus headache.
The bane of getting old.

I am very familiar with the distress caused by ear infections, as Ollie has bad ones every year. I only had one once, as a child, and can remember crying with the pain and being unable to sleep.

Good thing the pain has subsided Pete. I am taking antibiotics and the ear drops have somehow improved my ear infection. Will be back by Thursday for my lab tests and to my ENT after. Thanks, kisses to Ollie.
