Uneventful February. Well, except for my booster shot last February 9 and going out last week to deposit a check to the bank, I didn’t go out much. If you can call twice visit to the grocery store at the gate of the subdivision a venture outside, that’s it. All other needs were delivered online.
Tomorrow is Ash Wednesday. For us Catholics, it is the beginning of Lent and ends on Holy Thursday. It is one of the most importang events in the liturgical calendar, the imposition of ashes. Turn away from sin and believe in the Gospel. I am planning to attend the 6am mass at the Shrine of Our Lady Of Light. The family still observes abstaining from meat on all Fridays of Lent. Senior citizens like mom and I are already exempted though. Still, it is nice to keep the tradition.
I hope March would be a good month for us all.
An uneventful February for me too Arlene, just a few outings to my local cafe’s each week … I hope your weeks of Lent proceed well for you .. Cheers

March is my birthday month, (16th) and I will be 70 years old!
I hope it’s a good month, but war in Europe is overshadowing any celebrations for me.
Best wishes, Pete.

Yes I know. 70 is a great age. Some of us here are concerned with what is happening in Ukraine. And some politicians from duterte’s faction are neutral, they say we won’t be affected. How wrong they are. So indifferent.

I will think of you tomorrow at Mass. We will be joining the Pope in day long prayer for Ukraine.

Thank you Elizabeth. Our shrine is so lovely now, even the ceiling have paintings, the altar is so glam, and those lovely stained glass windows, some depicting our 12 Apostles.

Hello March. It is a great motivation and positivity to greet the month with Hope and excitement. Great post my Friend. Here in the U.S. “endemic” has been “proclaimed,” no mask and safety despite of daily cases in communities. I will still mask though, it an option and freedom expression. TC.

I still wear mask too when I go out even if I had my booster shot last month. I do hope in a few months, Covid would finally be over.
