A friend who used to be an officemate also used to visit my wall at Facebook and occasionally comment on my posts here although she is not a blogger.
These last few days, I missed her words and the inspiring comments that she usually write. I had a sudden inkling to visit her wall, there was nothing there for the last four months. I tried some friends of hers who have the same surname as she has. Probably her kids? We have some common friends at Bank of PI on Facebook but I’ve never read nor heard about Minnah.
What a sad ending when I read that she passed on last July 19. We used to talk about her having dialysis twice a week before. I told her about my dad’s plight having dialysis before he died. In our hospitals here, it is not free. I wonder if that has changed now. My dad died fourteen years ago after six months of treatment. Minnah said, it was hard to put up money for her dialysis twice a week.
When Dad died, I promised myself that I would never submit to that treatment if (God forbids)I would be in that same predicament. Imagine, they drain out your blood and put it back clean, same procedure after two or three days. All the nutrients your body absorbed in those days in between come to naught.
My dad passed away because of end stage renal disease. I have chronic UTI since I gave birth to Nissa. I haven’t been to my doctor since this pandemic started.
They always say health is wealth and I agree.

It is sad and it reminds us how short and precious life is.
The Lord bless us and preserve our life as He wills.

A sad reflection on how we can lose blogging friends without knowing what has happened. Your search was at least informing – well done

Always sad to lose a friend, and a reminder of our own mortality. One of my best friends endured dialysis for 7 years, then received a kidney transplant from a donor. It helped him a great deal, but all the subsequent years of anti-rejection drugs weakened his immune system. He died of Covid-19 in 2020, aged 72. We couldn’t even go to his funeral.
Best wishes, Pete.

When we think of it, it saddens us to really learn that life is too short. The days are not enough to visit and talk to friends we have somehow neglected. Thanks Pete.

So sorry about your Friend. That is a sad and tragic loss. News of Death reminds us how how fragile and fleeting our life is and that time doesn’t wait for no one. It is important to learn how to take care of ourselves before it’s too late. I myself have been ignoring my blood pressure and all the effects of stress. Self care is still a struggle but it is a very important aspect of making sure we get to live healthier and more productive lives. Praying for your good health and blessings my friend.

We experience so many ailments as we grow older. I am a cancer survivor and I’m glad that’s the thing of the past. Had hysterectomy too and kidney bypass more than ten years ago. I have maintenance for sugar and blood pressure. I stopped taking Metformin a year ago and substituted it with Serpentina, an herbal medicine and it’s good. Keep safe, we are not getting any younger.

UTIs are immensely painful and will require you to remain in a lot of restrictions. Do take care, remain hydrated and drink cranberry juice, as it helps a lot with this problem. You can also try dried Fenugreek seeds as it is also a very good remedy for this health issue. I have tried it and have been benefitted.
Do take care and don’t forget to go through our articles and drop in your valuable feedbacks.
