WordPress reminded me again that I am supposed to write a blog today.
This Covid 19 Delta variant is quite scary. Although I am fully vaccinated with Pfizer, I am worried about this. Josef and Jovy haven’t been scheduled yet at JP Morgan. Nissa will have her second dose of Moderna on Monday. My son-in-law will have his first dose on August 13.
Research say that once you had the virus, your body builds an immunity for up to eight months and when you are vaccinated, your antibodies will work up to six months. What if in six to eight months, Covid is still active? These mutations like the Delta variant are formed the more people are infected. And once you have experienced Covid like I did, you’ll be wary of it.
We will be on enhanced comunity quarantine (ECQ) again from August 6 to August 20. Even everyday Catholic masses were suspended starting today until August 20 but you can attend online. Delta variant is now here in our country. I guess no matter how many CQs this government declares if some protocols are not met, Covid 19 is here to stay. No contact tracing, lack of vaccines and they blame the people when the number arises. Know what I think, they really don’t have concrete plans to address this pandemic.
I went grocery shopping yesterday, basic commodities that we need in the next three weeks. I also ordered food online that we could stock in the ref. Going out is limited during this lockdown.
When will this Covid 19 ends? We are still so far away from that herd immunity that they are talking about.
Stay well

We have the Delta variant all over here, and the vaccines do protect against it. The medical advice is that everyone will need a booster injection in late Autumn, and then possibly an annual C-19 booster jab every year after that.
Best wishes, Pete.

I hope they would protect us all. Other countries don’t accept people who are Sinovac vaccinated. Most vaccines here are Sinovac.

Yes, we have restrictions on Sinovac. Though I think that is more political, than medical.

Oh well, they are concerned about the efficacy of the vaccine which is just half of what the other vaccines have.

Political aspect you mean? The dutertes are campaigning early. They are still LYING. The ship is sinking. Some of d’s cohorts are turning their backs and criticizing him.

Yeah, like Senator Gordon. Who else ?

Not only Gordon, Recto as well, even the mayor of Manila. But they are known enablers of digong. For five years they were quiet. Maybe they know the boat is sinking fast.

Why is that, Tita ? My Mom is also like that. She said she had to write in English first, then translate it to Tagalog, English to Tagalog dictionary in hand. She even brought the dictionary to the US. I remember she asked my Dad what the Tagalog word for ink was, he couldn’t answer… so she looked it up in the dictionary… it was TINTA ! !

Spoken Tagalog is easier. Writing it has lots of vowels in one word, right? Mas madali writing in English.

As for the declared ECQ, not enough vaccine, no contact tracing. Walang “ayuda” ang gobyerno. I pity those who won’t be able to work and won’t earn anything for the family.

It is a scary virus but more scary are people not thinking it’s serious so they just spread their sickness around. People coughing in front of other people not caring it could be covid are just Incredible. It’s normal now in my community . Take care my friend and stay safe. In the end, those who listened will live healthier and longer. The truth.

I do agree. In our barangay in Pangasinan, someone died of Covid two days ago. It was brought by a vacationing daughter who had Covid here in Metro Mla. The whole compound should have started isolation but some are still running free, sabi daw nung barangay pag daw may lumabas na positive saka i quarantine. Mali di ba. They are protected by the barangay captain kasi marami silang voters sa pamilya. What if one of them has acquired the virus at asymptomatic siya. Nakahawa ng iba, hindi nila alam. That’s how irresponsible they are.
Mahirap magka Covid, been there last May and until now my sense of hearing is not yet normal.

So sorry to hear that. Every place is doing the covid or not doing the COVID precautions differently. It’s crazy. I can’t even travel back to the Philippines as it’s strict though I kind of agree since we can afford to what happened in India and Brazil happened to the Philippines. The sad part, till the world gets it together, COVID will continue to kill people or economy. Stay safe.

Sometimes I think this various is here to stay. Know what, we have the highest positive cases in Asia.

It will become Endemic sadly in many countries like Flu but unlike Flu, covid lives all year round.

That is so sad. Yesterday, the Philippines almost reached 20 thousand in one day, the highest so far since last year.

I know Duterte’s mandates are extreme but I think it stopped the Philippines from becoming the next U.S., India or Brazil. In a poor county, medicines are not free and people will die in thousands everyday. A horrifying possibility. I just hope all will get vaccinated soon, rich or poor. Take care.

Hehe, wala silang ginagawa except impose lockdown, no contract tracing, no concrete plans to arrest this pandemic. Tulog ng tulog and comes out once a week in the middle of the night to deliver his nonsense speech. This government relies on vaccine donations but purchased an expensive Sinovac his bestfriend china. I wonder what happened to the trillions of pesos he borrowed supposedly to address this pandemic.

I know, corruption is really crazy there. In the U.S. it’s Politics and we do have corruption here too, just subtle. Seems like no escape anywhere nowadays.
