Mom had her 92nd birthday yesterday. We had a simple lunch but we forgot to order a birthday cake early. Just ordered some food online because I just prepared a kilo of spaghetti. As always, anything new to her taste is always yummy.
Compared to years ago, she no longer remembers it was her birthday. She made me write her date of birth on a piece of paper and she doesn’t even know that it is now 2021. Her mind is focused on when she turned 88 years old. So if you ask how old she is, she always says 88…haha.
I took a few shots. She didn’t even want to pose in front of a camera. Reluctant smile 🙂
I am grateful that despite her age, she’s healthy. Thank you Lord for another year of blessing for my mom. I posted another photo on Facebook featuring the two of us and it garnered a lot of likes and 274 birthday wishes and greetings. What a joy🎂🌻🧁

I think she doesn’t care that it is her birthday or that she is 92 but only that she is loved, cared for and safe living with you.

I guess so, she is becoming forgetful Elizabeth. She can’t remember if she has taken her maintenance medicine or not. I usually give it to her every morning. She is persistent though if my brother could fetch her to go back home to the province, they could not take care of her there.

Take care & be safe my friend. I think the world just got worse from last year. The pandemic is surging in countries that had it controlled early last year. As for USA, it’s anything goes now. Vaccine however helps to have some hope that it will get better. It’s more reliable and predictable than people’s behavior and attitude.

We’re back to square one here, all the government does is to change all these CQs (community quarantine) every two weeks but there are no concrete plans to address the pandemic. It is at the Office of VP LENI ROBREDO where they’re doing everything to help despite a very limited budget. Those who are helping trust her more than anyone in the government.

I feel your pain. It was chaos here last year but thank God for President Biden for making Covid 19 a priority . Resistance and defiance is our challenge though.
