Good morning.
It’s Monday octave of Easter. I watched the 6am mass online.
Nissa has been so cautious of our health since she contacted Covid more than three weeks ago. She bought us this UV Sterilization Lamp. It says it kills bacteria and viruses up to 99% preventing them from becoming infectious. We need to buy 2 AAA batteries for the remote control so we haven’t used it yet.
She also bought an extra set for them to use at home.
This is how it looks like when it is assembled.
The other day, I received another package from her, two sets of air purifier for Josef and me. I wear mine every day except when taking a bath and going to bed at night. It’s a necklace.
At the rate this government is addressing the pandemic, it may take another year more before they could vaccinate us. Some towns have already begun but here in our town, only the frontliners are done with it. Senior citizens are next in line but they don’t have enough vaccines yet.
We are back to square one. More positive cases are being reported now compared to a year ago. Same people handling everything. I wonder why despite the clamor to change those people and instead appoint medical practioners and those in related field of science, the man at the realm insists on appointing retired military and police personnel. He can’t even get his acts together except extending this lockdown.
Oh so sorry for these rants. I am just frustrated that they always blame the people not following protocols when it is the lack of concrete plans at their end which is the problem. They don’t even have financial aid to augment a family’s needs. They have to go out to earn a living to support their families. I also wonder where the billions of pesos this goverment borrowed supposedly to address the Covid problem went to.
Stay safe, Arlene!!!!! Eastertide blessings & hugs from across a few oceans! β¨πΈβ¨πβ¨πΈ

Anne, if only it’s VP ROBREDO at the realm.
She’s doing the job supposed to be done by the dirty old man. Her office doesn’t have enough budget. I also pity our frontliners who are so overworked. Hospitals are full. Patients are lined-up even in the ERs. I saw a car with a patient inside with the IV attached. So sad.
Thank you for praying for us.

I suspect that those bilions of pesos went straight into the pockest of corrupt politicians, exactly as the money has done here, Arlene. Shameful profiteering on the back of a deadly pandemic.
Best wishes, Pete.

For sure Pete. They’ll probably use it next year for the presidential election to buy votes just to win. Most of his cohorts are corrupt.

Lacks of plans and strategy in many places… At least your daughter is out of the hospital, right?

Stay safe my friend. Covid is both scary and frustrating. Fatigue has been our excuse here in America for our fourth surge. Many are not vaccinated yet but they are ones celebrating freedom without mask and all. Take care.

Hello IT. I think compared to other Asian countries, the Philippines iz the worst in dealing with Covid 19. No concrete plans except extending community quarantines. Only the office of VP Robredo is doing its job and other LGUs who are concerned about the welfare of the people.
Keep safe and thanks for the visit.

Thanks Arlene. I just hope leaders and people wakes up and really come together to stop this crazy pandemic. The longer we allow the virus to mutate, the longer it will be for our lives to get better. Take care and stay safe.
