It's been some years since I started this blog. Supposedly, it was only to share my plight as a cancer patient and survivor but over the years it has somehow evolved into something personal about my life and my family. So really glad to have met you all wonderful people out there. Someone commented once that he liked the title of this blog, Dreams and Escapes. Dream on, there are more things in life than we really think. Be happy, you only live once. Sometimes you also need an escape from the vicissitudes of life and this blog helps me cope. Welcome. Feel free to leave your comments, I do welcome them.

Be Strong And Courageous
It’s been a while. I am reblogging this here from my main blog Dreams and Escapes. I hope you’ll find time to visit it to. My gosh, I got so excited when I saw it. There are several designs actually and all with Biblical passages. One of the vendors in our subdivision is selling them. […]
What A Surprise!
I can’t believe I haven’t touched and visited this blog like forever (an exaggeration of course) but I was so focused on updating my main blog so I forgot about this. Early this morning while I was watering the plants, I looked up at our jackfruit trees and saw this. I was hoping I could […]

Nonna’s joy. I think this is the second time I posted a picture of my grandson here. He is turning six this coming November. Time flies. Happy Grandparents’ Day to all proud grandparents like I am.
Something To Think About
Gosh. I haven’t updated this site for so long concentrating instead on my main blog Dreams and Escapes. I hope I would be able to post more in the coming days.
My Garden Blooms
This is just my 89th post after three years of blogging. But I have always been updated with my main blog. You can find the link here on the right corner of the blog. I’ve recently took shots of our garden blooms. Summer is here and more blooms could be seen. […]

Even electrical posts were destroyed. A school building was submerged in water. Many trees were uprooted.

Sounds absolutely horrific. I hope there weren’t too many casualties.

They can’t still assess the damage including lives at the moment. I read somewhere that the calamity is about 70% to that of typhoon Yolanda , the strongest typhoon recorded so far.

Bicol will survive with the known resilience of our people but they also need financial help to start over again.

Such a terrible situation for so many people. The government should be stepping in to give aid, and providing temporary accommodation too.
Best wishes, Pete.

They keep saying those alibis why the president was not around because it was a Sunday as if nature would choose a particular day to hit back. They didn’t have plans to help because their president stayed in Davao despite knowing the oncoming super typhoon. One thing more
Bicol is the bastion of his political enemies like VP Leni, ex-Senator Trillanes and Sen. De Lima whose been in jail for three years without proof or evidence that they accused her of. Sadly Pete, this govt is vindictive.

That must bring you back to your own horrifying experience some years back when you lost everything. You know just how hard it is to come back from that and fear that it might happen again.

Every time it rains hard, I get nervous. I fear another repeat of typhoon Ondoy.
