So I am finally learning, I get it. It just needs a little patience in negotiating all these options. I am just sad that a long-time online friend and blogger Pete Johnson has already given up. I will surely miss his posts.
How many of you are thinking of closing down your own blog or maybe transfer to another site? I don’t think I still have the patience to customize another blog and start all over again. That takes more time than learning about the block editor here. Hopefully, WordPress would see the wisdom of retaining the classic editor so we could choose if we want to continue using it.
Are your pages already converted to the block editor?
for sure he will be missed…

I switched to the block editor months ago. WordPress was still tinkering with it, so I learned and relearned how to do things. It was frustrating for a while, but I’m used to it now. I hope you will find your comfort zone. Please don’t quit!!!

But of course, I am on my 11th year now. I would not just leave it. Thanks Anne.

I have been managing OK with the block editor – more by luck than judgement

Arlene, I’m still using classic editor format through WPAdmin function (the really old format I’ve used since 2011) It still works fine. 📚🤗📚

That’s good Virginia but they are changing everything. They changed mine yesterday.

I was sent a really easy tip by another blogger today. If it works as well as on my trial, I may be back to blogging at some stage.
Best wishes, Pete.

That’s nice Pete. The block editor is easier to navigate on my PC but I don’t know how using my tab.

See my latest post, Arlene. The tips I was sent might help. I never blog on anything other than my PC, it’s too fiddly.

The block editor is constantly being updated. After working on it for a couple of months I understand what I need to know. The problem is that when I finally reach that point many things are changed overnight. WordPress’ whole selling point is speed. Even when everything is going well, the block system is still slower than some version of the classic model.

My PC conked out on me a while ago. Just wondering how I could update through my tab.

I think you can. I use an iPad and I can do there.
