After the heavy rain last night, my garden is happy. Good thing I transferred my six pots of Adenium in the shade so they were not saturated. They love the sun and require once-a-week watering.
I have dwarf Snake plants in a big rounded pot but they have grown so I transferred some of them direct to the soil. Put some in bigger pots and I had one planted in this little vase to put inside the house.
Do you know that “the Snake Plant cleans air better than most other indoor plants as it has the ability to absorb excessive amounts of carbon monoxide? Additionally, it emits oxygen and filters other toxins from the air such as benzene, xylene, trichloroethylene and formaldehyde”.
A few days ago, I harvested green chili peppers and left two to ripen. They just did and I planted them today. We use these for our famous “sinigang”.
The beauty of gardening!

I know, I’ve seen your garden, a nice place to read with that hot cup of tea or coffee.

We have rain right now. I don’t know that we need it, but I’d love to have this excuse to sleep a bit later. We will probably not walk today.

It is nice to sleep at night when it rains early because it’s cool.

We skipped our walk this morning, because the weather map showed heavy rain. The skies were threatening, but it didn’t actually rain when we would have been out. I enjoyed the extra sleep, though, so it was worth it.

That was nice Anne but I envy you that you could still do your normal routines of walking despite this pandemic.

We live away from the town and seldom meet anyone while walking. Our towns are not locked down as tightly as yours, either. I wish you had the freedom to take a walk and go to church.

Hay if only…, I attend daily masses online, I haven’t gone to any mall, supermarket and even to my doctor. I order our maintenance medicine online too.

Thanks Anne, I am looking for some gifts for Christmas online but I am stuck at Lazada. Hopefully I could find some by next month.

Snake plants are great! Easy to take care of and they do help clean the air. I have one too. Your chili peppers look delicious. I hope you’ll post that recipe you mentioned!

I have one here posted long ago. Sinigang is one of our favorite Filipino meals, the best whether you use pork, beef or fish. Thanks Sabine.

We have also had heavy rain here now. It keeps me out of the garden though, which is now covered in fallen leaves and acorns.
Best wishes, Pete.

It’s been raining for three days now. My nephew and his one -year old just arrived this afternoon in Plymouth. His wife works as a nurse there in UK.

I don’t think it’s raining in Plymouth, as that’s a long way from Beetley. 🙂 (340 miles away)
