Time flies! And June has ingrained itself without us being that aware of the months and dates passing by. Oh yes, I used to have those month-ender blogs, some are summaries of events the past month or so. I also used to look forward to things happening during a new month. Gone are those days when I anticipated those moments that Nate and I will see each other again. Gosh, it’s been more than three months since they came over last. The other day, I had a nice video chat with him. He made faces in front of the camera and he lost another front tooth….haha!
Many parents are apprehensive in the opening of classes which was set by the Department of Education come August 24. I wonder how prepared they are to shift to another tool of learning. They say that there won’t be face to face encounter with fellow students and teachers. You can always use online modules and home schooling. What about those who are studying in public schools and don’t have the means to access the internet? Will they be left behind?
As I see it right now, the riding public/commuters are having problems with going back to work. What use was the almost three months lockdown without preparation from our Dept. of Transportation? We are back to square one. Do we expect the same thing with the Dept. of Education when classes open? Will they be prepared for it? Will the students benefit with this kind of learning?
Last night, we celebrated Jovy’s birthday. They went out to buy food and had some cakes delivered. We laughed at Oreo struggling with the bone of the Crispy pata. He was like a small kid given an unknown toy to play with. We took some photos of course for prosperity and Jovy lighted some candles for her birthday wish.
The other day, Josef and I trimmed our garden plants. I transferred my only Kamuning plant from a pot direct to the soil. The flowers have a heady scent like Gardenia.
When it grows taller, I will trim its branches and plant more.
Welcome June!
many uncertainties remain and america is now in chaos.

Yes, we don’t know when this will end.

Happy Birthday to Jovy.
We have had some kids return to schools this week, but it is worth noting that all the expensive private schools are closed until at least September. So only the children of ordinary working people have to go back to school, not the rich kids. It’s shameful.
Best wishes, Pete.

Thanks Pete. Oh, I wonder what it will be like come September. Nissa says Nate’s school allows online enrolment. It is a private Catholic school run by nuns but I don’t know what congregation.
