Found these two lovely quotes from an equally lovely page on Facebook called Candle Light.  Most of the sayings are inspirational. I am sharing these with you.

Have you noticed? All I did the past two or three weeks was blogged about my family’s health. It’s quite unfortunate that we have come to this. When anyone in the family is not healthy and fit, I worry but I am leaving it all to God. As I’ve always said before, God is a loving God and our trials are just that. How long we can endure defends on how well we believe that everything will be okay in the end. I’ve always believed that He is the greatest Healer of all. Our crosses may sometimes be heavy but we are able to carry them through.

I called Nissa this morning while she was at the UST Hospital. She went back to her endocrinologist. She has to undergo a one time treatment of  Radioactive Iodine Therapy at least a month or two after her surgery. Since that needs a three-day isolation, she has to stay at the hospital’s isolation room when that is done. There are preparations and things that she is not yet allowed to eat. seafood and eggs are a no, no.

When mom was given same radioactive medicine years ago because of her goiter, it was  an outpatient procedure but for a month she was not allowed to even kiss us or her grandkids. I am afraid  the cost of the medication for Nissa is expensive  and the remaining insurance for this year can no longer  cover it all. She still has to verify it with the insurance company. She may opt to shoulder the remaining balance since it is a per sickness/per year basis. And since it is the same sickness that will be covered, she has to shell out cash. Unless of course she will wait for January for the insurance’s renewal.

I also visited my internist this morning and he opted for additional medications for my BP. It was erratic. I’ll have a repeat FBS and urinalysis in a week. The urinalysis is normal except that there is a 2 + protein in it. Creatinine is at a normal range.  Really, when one is getting old, there are unavoidable things that crop up. Diet is one commodity that I have to watch. I don’t have much exercise though.

These things happening at BUCOR (Bureau of Corrections) or what we call Bureau of Prisons are getting out of hand. Those corrupt officials allow the rich prisoners to buy their freedom and the director claims that he does not know it? There seems to be a conspiracy  between those rich drug lords and BUCOR.  Such a shame, almost everyone appointed by this government is a failure. Do you think this Senate hearing is another waste of people’s money? Is it another distraction while most of us are waiting for the Election Tribunal to announce their findings on Marcos’ complaint that he won the VP position?  My goodness, we all  know that VP Leni Robredo is the legit Vice-President who won fair and square againsts Bongbong Marcos.

Kawawang Pilipinas at kawawang mga mamamayan. We are being trampled on and still some of us remain indifferent.
