Oh gosh, I could not open my tab. It just blacked out but it is charging. I have to wait for Josef to do the trick. I couldn’t read e-books since they are all in there. When you are used to reading bigger fonts with light in it, you’ll wonder how you ever survived reading those small prints in a real book. I am learning how ….again.
It’s a good thing I still have my other CP to use for texting and calling. I use the unli call feature of Globe almost every day to call my brother in the province. P20.00 is good for 24 hours of calls without limit. Sometimes, I use messenger to call my cousin and niece. They are always online but I don’t like using my CP to connect to Facebook. I always prefer my reliable PC to connect to Facebook. Since I don’t have a microphone on the speaker attached, I could not use the messenger for calling. Viber is having problems. I am thinking of removing it then reinstalling it again. It might work.
How have we become so dependent on these gadgets? Our lives have evolved using them almost every day. What if internet hasn’t been in use yet? For some, letter-writing has become somehow obsolete. E-mails are way, way faster to communicate. I still love receiving snail mails though, hand-written letters or greeting cards. I love that feeling that it is better thought of and personally given enough time by the writer.
Do you love snail mail like I do?
I do love to get ‘real’ letters. But I have only had two this year.
Reliance on our electronic gadgets has now gone too far. It has become a ‘dependence’, unfortunately.
Best wishes, Pete.

Oh it has Pete. And before we know it, we’ll be all lost without it.

Snail mail is good – but we are in the instant age

Yes !! I love receiving letters through the mail, but they’re getting fewer every year….. Recently for my birthday, I received a hand-made card, and a written letter from my grand nieces in Philadelphia, my joy was overwhelming……. xxx

Arlene, I still send cards in the mail & enjoy receiving them, too! Going through files, I’m so glad my parents wrote letters & notes to me over the years – with their passing, treasured now! 💞📩📫📩💞

I would rather receive a greeting card from the mail. It feels more personal.

I’m different. I love the speed of email, and I’d rather hear from people electronically than to not hear at all. Most of the folks I know would never use snail mail.

I understand, the influence of gadgets Anne and the speed of the internet. Gosh, I think I need to replace my tab with a new one if only for the books I have stored there.

I hope you can get the old one going, but if not, I hope you can get a new one. I read with my tablet while our car was being serviced today.

Can’t go without the tab. Planning to buy one. My tab, I think, has gone to sleep for good.

Haha, I am laughing here but quite sad that it’s gone. I still have pending books to read there. Anyway I could still retrieve the memory card and use the same number when I have a new one….hopefully 🙂

I can still use it when I buy a new tab. My e-books are stored there.

Good thing you still send and receive the Elizabeth. I seldom receive one nowadays except utility bills….hehe

That’s great. I have a memory card in my laptop, but not in my tab. I forgot that I have a dead tab, too. One day it refused to turn on. Maybe that’s the way they die gracefully.

The red light for charging was still flashing this morning then it went kaput too. I have an additional memory card aside from what was provided when I purchased it, The tab is buried now among my files Anne…hehe 🙂
