I am not really fond of reblogs. Derrick, one of my online friends here shared a link to his post about his library so I am sharing mine too. This was written more than seven years ago and I have accumulated more and so did Nissa. Sometimes, when I like a particular author, I tend to collect all his books. My most loved books are hidden in a cabinet so they won’t get dirty. They are hardbound and trade paperback copies which are gifts from friends.
I CAN’T! And that’s written in big bold letters. This ongoing love affair knows no bounds, an insatiable thirst for more, loving the feel and smell of new pages, waiting to discover something that would either make you cry, laugh, think and smile. I need more space for more books. If my brother could hear me now, he would say, get a Kindle. He offered to buy me one but I am in a quandary whether I will enjoy reading without holding the book in my hands. I took some shots of some of the books we have now after I lost most of my collection more than two years ago. Someday, I’m going to replace them one by one because I want to read some of them all over again and get lost in the magic of words.

Life without books, I couldn’t do it.
I love films but books are a little more intriguing.
I guess because the books share more details.
I am a book collector myself I am in the process of building up my book shelf and making it a mini library.
My favorite other is James Patterson.

I don’t watch so much films. Sometimes I am even disappointed by film adaptations. We lost about a thousand volumes during the flood and we are replenishing our small library slowly. I read James Patterson,we have lots of his hardbound books here but my favorites are Richard Paul Evans and Mary Oliver. Thanks Cinnamon.

Wow, fifty years. You’re lucky you still have it until now. Ours are built in when we had the house renovated back in September 2009.

I have two large bookshelves in this small office room. One of them holds my DVD films, and the other is a jumble of books, and ‘stuff’. I should really sort it out and tidy it. Maybe one day. 🙂
Best wishes, Pete.

That’s nice Pete. Nissa has removed the plastic cases of our CDs and DVDs and put them in two zippered cases. Sometimes, I rearrange my books according to authors.

No, I can’t imagine a life without books, Arlene! We have quite a few books as well. I also check books out at our local library. It saves space on my shelves and money since not all books are keepers.

When I buy nowadays, I only choose those I want to keep. Books are the best friends that never complain.

I come from a family where everyone had large bookcases and hundreds of books. I can’t imagine a life without books everywhere.

If had to choose certain things I could not live without, books would be at the top of my list!
