Woke up to the sound of raindrops early this morning. Oh blessed, blessed rain, thank you.
Now I won’t have to water my plants. The ground was saturated enough because of the rain.
It’s a week to go before election day. And for those who are still in a quandary in who to vote for. Take a stand and please vote according to your conscience. I am voting for straight Otso Diretso. They are the most qualified senatorial candidates this mid-term election.
Early this morning while I was browsing on Facebook, I saw this meme on the page I Love Reading. I just smile and shared on my wall. Sharing it here for those bookworm like I am.
I just smiled because it’s true. What have you been reading lately? I am not yet done with the book I started three days ago. I am on the slow-reader mode at the moment. It is a detective story.
There’s an Aquino and a Roxas together. I thought the aquinos and Roxas aren’t seeing eye to eye ???

That’s not true Ren. They are in the party.

Roxas said something like he shouldn’t have sought the Aquinos’ help during his presidential run… he said the Aquino’s support is like kiss of death. Actually, it was Kris Aquino who ranted about that. Noynoy Aquino was quiet and didn’t respond to this. Pamgilinan begged Kris to stop. And she did. For me, Mar Roxas was nasty.

But it’s okay. They need to win.

I am not a fan of Kris Aquino, She is so madaldal siding with those crooks on the other side. I believe Mar Roxas is the president that never was.

Not a fan, either.
I kind of remember her siding with political crooks. Who, specifically ?

She is defending the president and his dakilang alalay.

Not anymore, I’m sure ? Duetrte’s supporters are trying to bring down the Aquinos, to the point that they want to erase them ( even trying to rename NAIA ) from Philippine history. His Build, build, build policy will bring down Philippine economy .. and that’s because he wants a monument for himself… and he does that by borrowing, borrowing, borrowing. His supporters are nasty. Good thing some of Duterte trolls on Facebook have been banned.

I don’t like to talk about the guy, he is evil personified.

Same here, with Trump. Do you know that sometimes , a political family has to divide themselves , for protection ? I think Kris is the designated one in the Aquino family.

I don’t know Ren but she is “taklesa”. Too honest minsan for her own good. Her siblings are just quiet pero siya, “too noisy”.

She admits it…. she gets in trouble for being too talkative.
And she talks too much about her children… I cringe… it’s too much.

That’s her way I think.

I’m reading a non-fiction historical book, Arlene. It is about the daughters of the Stuart Royals during the 17th century.
Best wishes, Pete.

I am listening to my fourth book by Marie Bostwick. Her series is set in a small town in Connecticut around a quilt store. I don’t quilt, but I have come to really enjoy her characters. Her writing is quietly faith filled and very encouraging. I have needed an antidote to the poisonous political climate here.

I haven’t yet tried an audio book. Is it better than reading?

I find it very satisfying because I love being read to. They hire professionals to do the tapes so they are very well read. I find I lose myself just as much in the audio but am more relaxed since I don’t even have to turn the page!

Will try that sometime Elizabeth if I could find an audio book here. Thanks!

Sounds like election time is drawing near! May the least corrupt candidates win! No rain here, we’re having a hot warm spell and it’s supposed to get up to 90 Fahrenheit by Friday. I’ll have to start watering the garden. Lucky you getting some rain!

Glad to hear you’re voting for Otso Diretso candidates. I’m campaigning for them in my own litte way – through social media and flyers I have photocopied. I have also posted a flyer on our wall nearest the eskinita where many pass by. But someone keeps on tearing it. And I just keep on posting a replacement.
Yes, I’m very thankful to the Lord for the rains when we were warned that there would be El Nino.

So glad to know too that we are rooting for the same senatorial candidates. One of our neighbors who is not into social media doesn’t know them so I am giving her a copy of my kodigo. I made several for easier recall on Monday. Kung walang hocus focus sa election, mananalo sila. Don’t you think so? What’s your take on Advincula’s revelation?

I think he is telling the truth. Why would he fabricate on some matters that would cost him his life, knowing he is going against very powerful personalities? Maybe his conscience is bothering him, he has to come out into the open.

I agree. You won’t risk your life unless you know something is not true. Madami na sila, Matobato, Lascanas, Acierto at siya. They are saying similar things.
