I am just happy seeing his face, how happy he is in the picture. The innocence of a child, the spontaneous smile that goes with it. Precious moment captured in a photograph.

Relaxing Sunday

What’s nice about Sunday is you can relax to your heart’s desire.
I wake up early during Sundays so we could attend the 6:30 am mass at the town proper. I prepare breakfast first before leaving the house. When I am not in the mood to cook lunch or dinner, we just order from outside. One thing I do like about Sundays is that I am not obliged to labor near the stove…haha! After watering the plants and cleaning the house, I am free to read or make an advance post here but making advance posts seldom happens nowadays. Oh, I get lazy too thinking of what to write about. Not all days are inspiring ones.
Our Lady of Light Parish is busy preparing for the Canonical Coronation of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The Patroness of Cainta will be crowned on December 1, 2018 after receiving the Papal Bull more than a month ago. We celebrate our town fiesta every December 1, the official feast Our Lady of Light. Looking forward to the event.
I am done with 28 books since January 1, 28% of my Goodreads reading challenge. I am presently on my 29th book entitled In the Midst of Winter by Isabel Allende. Allende is a Chilean-American writer. The book speaks of life and growing old. This is just my second book of her although I have another one on my TBR list called The Japanese Lover which is set during WWII. Come Holy Week, I would have to stop reading fictions and memoirs and concentrate instead on my inspirational books by St. Therese, Henri Nouwen, and Thomas Merton. They are my reading companions during Lent. I am in charge of posting the daily Gospel readings on our web page, a very helpful task for my spiritual growth.
Our friendly neighbor came by a while ago bringing with him a pot of a red Shanghai Beauty. It would be a lovely partner to my pink ones. They are good planted as borders. My bottle gourds are doing nicely. I planted them from seeds two weeks ago. Josef and I made additional trellis on top of the existing one at the back of the house. It is really nice to see them all – the tomato seedlings, eggplant, Thai chilli, okra and water spinach. Even are jackfruit trees are bearing small fruits again. Looking forward to harvesting them in a few months. The fulfillment one gets from gardening, so priceless.
Dance in the rhythm of life.
Happy Sunday everyone!
