It's been some years since I started this blog. Supposedly, it was only to share my plight as a cancer patient and survivor but over the years it has somehow evolved into something personal about my life and my family. So really glad to have met you all wonderful people out there. Someone commented once that he liked the title of this blog, Dreams and Escapes. Dream on, there are more things in life than we really think. Be happy, you only live once. Sometimes you also need an escape from the vicissitudes of life and this blog helps me cope. Welcome. Feel free to leave your comments, I do welcome them.

It’s been a while. I am reblogging this here from my main blog Dreams and Escapes. I hope you’ll find time to visit it to. My gosh, I got so excited when I saw it. There are several designs actually and all with Biblical passages. One of the vendors in our subdivision is selling them. […]

Happy Easter dearest Arlene! I pray abundant blessings upon you and your family as we celebrate the very reason we have joy in life, the risen Savior! I hope you have warm times with your family and friends as you celebrate this holy occasion. I have been praying for all in the Philippines as the hurricane moved through with you and your family being heavy upon my mind and heart. I hope it did not do much damage.
Hopefully, you will have lots of delightful times with your handsome grandson tomorrow! Children provide so much light to the holidays and make the memories that much more rare and treasured. Happy Easter!

Alleluia! Let us extol the Lord our God with a canticle of praise; our Redeemer has risen from the tomb as He promised.
Happy Easter to you and your family Tina. Thankfully, we were spared from the wrath of the typhoon. Answered prayers. It is now a tropical depression. God is good. A lot of people went home to their respective provinces to celebrate Holy Week, we were blessed that it didn’t much affect our country.

Praise God, indeed. I couldn’t believe the projected path and my thoughts went immediately to all my friends who call that part of the world home. I have prayed several times a day for protection. What a glorious thing to be thankful for this Easter Sunday. Its like icing on the cake to the supernatural gift he has already given us by taking out hands and guiding us to paradise after we have completed the journey for which he created us. Blessings upon you my friend.

Isn’t it wonderful when one’s faith sustains? And when you truly believe, everything falls back into place. Do you know that most of the provinces included in the typhoon signal yesterday are included in the vacation spots for most of us here in Luzon? They go home to be with their family to celebrate together.
Mom always tells us that the Resurrection is the most important event in the Catholic calendar. During masses on Easter Sunday, we renew our Baptism. Easter Sunday is the start of another season in our liturgical calendar, that is until Pentecost Sunday.
Blessings to you too Tina, thank you so much for the lovely and inspiring words.

My lips and thoughts are constantly uttering prayer for someone or myself. I cannot imagine my existence without Christ, for I lean so heavily upon him each and everyday. I give praise that I am not wealthy so that I know how much I need Christ in every minute detail in my life. It must be so hard for others who depend only upon themselves. Blessings to you and your family.

Wow….what a lovely thing to do…offering prayers for others.

Offering prayers for others is second nature, for that is all I am capable of doing. Plus, it is the best possible thing we can do because God is in control and he will take over when human strength or ability fails. Many times, I see disasters or heartache within peoples lives and I have a strong desire to hop a plane and go physically help them in any way I can but my health issues do not allow me to fulfill that desire so I offer fervent prayers upon the behalf of people everywhere. We each have been given different gifts so we must identify them and then continue to refine the gifts so that they help as many others as possible.
Will you get to spend time with your grandson tomorrow or is it today there? Is it Easter there now? It is 11:42 pm here in Pennsylvania.

Yes, it is Easter here now, it’s already 1:15pm on a Sunday. No, they won’t be coming today but I was able to talk to my grandson last night, he was so excited to tell me about “the video”. I wondered what it was when my daughter said that she took a video of him while he was dancing at the Mall of Asia last night….hahaha! I laughed out loud when I saw it and showed it to Mom. Nate is such a lovable boy and he is not afraid of people. My son’s girlfriend is coming over though to have dinner with us tonight and celebrate Mom’s birthday in advance. We ordered food outside but I will prepare the Fusilli pasta later.
I simply love what you said that offering prayers for others is the best possible thing that we can do. When we pray we are affirming God’s goodness and letting Him take charge of our lives. It might be just “help me” or “thank you”. I believe that prayer is our most intimate communication with God. Enjoy your Sunday Tina. may you always be blessed.
