Always humble yourself lovingly before God and man, because God speaks to those who are truly humble of heart, and enriches them with His gifts. – St. Padre Pio
There are places where we really feel at home, places where you long to be closer to the Lord and experience that inner tranquil peace that one normally does not experience in such a noisy world such as ours. The very first time I visited St. Padre Pio Chapel in Libis, Quezon City, I was struck by the lovely interior of the place and the prayer room was such that when I began writing my prayer petitions, thoughts came freely, unhampered by the movements of other people who kneeled side by side with me writing their own prayers and thoughts on paper. I’ve longed to visit the place since a former classmate suggested it when I had my chemotherapy more than two years ago. Come to think of it, it’s a walking distance from Eastwood City and just about a few minutes ride from our place but I never knew it existed. Since that first visit, I always planned of attending masses there. It’s full during Sundays and parking is nil unless you come one hour early before the scheduled mass. Proper dress code is strictly implemented – no shorts, no sleeveless dresses, no plunging necklines which I think is just right. People from all walks of life come to this place for a visit.
The facade was patterned after the Church of Our Lady of Grace in San Giovanni Rotondo, Italy where St. Padre Pio spent most of his remaining years until his death. I remember taking these shots during Padre Pio’s Feast Day last September 23, 2011 when I attended mass there.
This is the main altar of the Chapel where a life-size image of St. Padre Pio is venerated by the faithful.
The Prayer Room
Lighting candles is always one of the highlights of my visit here.
The place is adjacent to the high-rise buildings of Eastwood City.
Hello Tita Arlene, I also used to attend mass at Padre Pio Chapel in Libis and it is also a place where I find peace and comfort especially when I found out I got cancer. Many testimonies are posted and hanged on the wall to show proof that Padre Pio indeed helped them recover and grant their wishes. I do recommend everyone to visit the place. BTW I’m done with my first chemo and 5 to go….please continue praying for me. Thank you. I missed your blogs within the last few days.

I am glad to know you’ve hurdled the first session of chemo Ria. Just take it easy and BELIEVE that you are cured.
It’s nice to learn that you also visit St. Padre Pio Chapel. Who knows, we might have met at some time there. We’re kindred spirits, traveling the same journey to facing life without the threat of cancer. Let us continue praying for each other Ria. God bless you always.

If you take a long, loving look at the marbled wall behind the altar, you may notice Mother Mary, Jesus, St Pio, and the angels in there. Please ask the chapel officials and staff, they know. And Arlene, pray faithfully for St Pio’s intercession. The chapel walls are full of testimonials of his miraculous intercessions and having served there as a lay minister for a time, i have personally talked with some of those healed, among them, Mr Ramon Rodriguez. God bless you.

I pray for all the devotees of Padre Pio. How I wish I will have the time and money to go to Manila and visit the chapel. I ask for help and prayers for my mother in law, Martine Cormary who is in chemo therapy now. May the Padre Pio intercede for us. Amen.

I have a friend with breast cancer and when we heard mass to celebrate our wedding anniversaries last May 2012 (it is 2 days apart, mine is 17 and hers is in the 19th) somebody from the church offered to me a statue of St. Padre Pio, without asking how much, i bought it for my friend and immediately gave it to her. I told her to pray for healing to St. Padre Pio and claim it in Jesus name. Yesterday, a common friend of ours told me to check on the schedule of masses so we can bring our friend Lita there. I did not impose on her anything when I gave it to her but told her to pray to him always. Praise and thank God, she now wants us to bring her there to hear mass. God is good.

I would like to attend mass at the church on November 25th, Sunday. What time are the masses at the church? What are the hours on weekdays for visiting the church and do we need special permission if we visit on a weekday with a catholic priest and would like to celebrate mass said by the priest in our group.

I am not sure about your other questions re: having a priest in your group say mass at the chapel. I usually attend their 10 am mass on Sundays. You can get in touch with them through these numbers: (632) 634-3668 / ( 632) 634-3669 / (632) 439-5615 / (632) 439-9307
