I was craving for some crispy Lumpiang Shanghai (spring rolls) so we went to the grocery store to buy some lumpia wrappers but I could not find any so I made do with Molo wrappers for a change. The size is good enough for those tiny, crispy and crunchy Shanghai rolls. Paired with a hot chili dip and a small bowl of sauteed snow peas, dinner was simply wonderful.
Lumpiang Shanghai is actually a Chinese recipe, with ground pork or beef as the main ingredient. It’s a favorite among Filipino families along with Pancit and Siomai.
