UST is a private Roman Catholic University run by the Order of Preachers in Manila. It is the only Pontifical University in Asia. It is the only university (Catholic or not) to have been visited by two popes three times, twice by Pope John Paul II in 1981 and 1995 and once by Pope Paul VI in 1970 (I was in second year high school then).
It was built in a 215,000 sq. meter campus in Sampaloc, Manila. The university was originally located within the walled city of Intramuros, Manila.

i’m also a proud current Thomasian student. I’ve witnessed a bunch of influences, artists, businessmen alike.. and they have been the friendliest and the most articulate people i’ve ever talked with.

Thank you! I was there yesterday and I wanted so much to take shots of the denizens there, the students, more particularly but I am not allowed to just gallivant around, doctor’s order. I frequent the place because I am having my treatment at BCI-UST Hospital.

At the back side of the fountain of wisdom, I used to compose poems there.
I remembered when I was still studying there. It was inspiring.
Nice pictures.
