Sigh, this is so true, Arlene. When people we love somehow let us down, we are assured we are not alone, that God is out there, willing us to embrace Him and be embraced by Him. When I feel so down, I look back to the story of Footprints in the Sand and imagine God carrying me in His arms, consoling me. I know he loves me without if’s and but’s, unequivocally.
